This website is operated by Escape Modern, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In these terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean Escape Modern. By using this site or buying from us, you agree to these terms, along with our shipping policy, return policy, and privacy policy. Our store runs on Shopify, which provides the platform we use to sell to you.

Vintage and pre-owned items

Most of what we sell is vintage or pre-owned and has been used before. Signs of age and use are normal and are part of the character of these pieces. We describe condition, attributions, and measurements as accurately as we can based on our knowledge and research. Measurements are approximate, and colors may look different on different screens. Attributions to a designer or maker reflect our best judgment, and we will tell you when a piece is attributed rather than signed or documented.

Availability and pricing

Most items are one of a kind and may also be listed for sale elsewhere. If an item sells on another platform before your order is processed, we will cancel your order and give you a full refund. We may correct errors in pricing or descriptions, and we may cancel an order affected by an error with a full refund. Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time before you place an order.

Orders and payment

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including orders that appear fraudulent. You agree to give us accurate purchase and contact information. Payments are processed securely through our checkout providers, and we do not store your full payment details.

Shipping, freight quotes, and returns

Shipping and returns are covered by our shipping policy and return policy. For items that ship by freight, shipping is quoted after purchase and billed separately. If you decline the quote, you can pick up locally or cancel for a full refund.

Use of this site

Photos, text, and other content on this site belong to Escape Modern unless otherwise noted. Please do not copy or reuse them without permission. You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose or to interfere with how it works.
